The average price of a house varies markedly from one village to the next: around €8,800/m² in Les Portes-en-Ré, €7,750/m² in Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré, €7,450/m² in La Flotte and €7,350/m² in Saint-Martin-de-Ré. Expect on average €7,050/m² in La Couarde-sur-Mer, close to €6,800/m² in Loix and Ars-en-Ré, and €6,100 to €6,400/m² in Rivedoux-Plage and Sainte-Marie-de-Ré. Can you buy to let in the holiday season?
Yes, and it is straightforward to prepare. Since 1st June 2025, offering a property as a holiday letting on Île de Ré requires a change-of-use authorisation and a registration number.
